Halloween 2: Far From Heaven - Or, In honor of Rosa Parks

You'll have to read the previous post on Halloween. This post deals with both enlightenment and fright.

The fright comes from realizing the only difference between peace, civility, and enlightenment versus evil, violence, and ignorance ... is ... not necessarily the place, people or location .... but, ... time.

Halloween

This week I watched 2 old Hitchcock films - Vertigo and Psycho. I forgot how good they were. Since this is a day to enjoy a little fake-fright, I thought I'd post a few things from the past. There's nothing like an odd dose of reality now and again to give us a wake-up call, to give us a scare, or to enlighten us.

Two Day Lillies. I wanted to draw something a little more "Aesthetically" pleasing after the last drawing.

Girl and a Gun. This time I used a brighter light source for the photo - the sun. Note: The name comes from the idea - "To make a film, all you need is a girl and a gun."
I've sketched a lot of women's faces lately. They're pretty, soft, kind, delicate, ... this one's got a gun.
